Why our dojo?

  • Is a full contact karate club 

  • Provide a high standard of Karate is taught and lead by experienced instructors.
  • Is an inclusive, non-commercial club -we don’t give belts for free ;)

  • Safe, fun and friendly environment for both children and adults to lay the foundations and begin (or continue) their Karate journey.
  • All ages are welcome; we have several families who train at the same time. Adults and children are divided into separate groups in the same session
  • Our children’s class is lots of fun, our instructors are parents and really understand how to motivate kids in a highly enjoyable way.
  • We are affiliated with the WKO, however we believe in Kyokushin as one family (and all Karate for that matter).
  • Our doors are open to all.

Our training’s routines:

  • Kihon (basics technics)-During Kihon  training you will learn different stances, strikes, blocks and thrusts. You will learn how to move on each stance and how to strike or block while moving. This will improve your body awareness and balance as well as strengthening your body
  • Kata (forms)- Learning and practicing Kata will help you understand the application of techniques and while it improves your timing, swiftness, coordination and balance it will help you keep your techniques fresh
  • Kumite (sparring), is where you put your gained fitness, strength, technique, fast and strategic thinking together to face an opponent. We will work on plenty of drills, combinations, strategies, pad work, bag work, practicing with partners and other exercises to perfect our Kumite skills.
  • Kumite is adapted for children in an age appropriate and safe way, with all protective head and body gear provided.
  • Flexibility exercises- stretching. Increasing the range of motion creates good posture and develops proficient performance in everyday activities increasing the length of life and overall health of the individual.
  • Mobility exercises- that will increase your range-of-motion and your stabilization, or control of the muscles that surround each joint,
  • improvement of your muscular capabilities and hence more power. These exercises are designed to have no adverse impact on your body and involve compound groups of muscles to gain the maximum benefit, regeneration all joins and muscle injuries
  • Strength exercises-bases on no weight workout , functional muscle mass training with multi-join exercises. gymnastic –calisthenics’ exercises like push ups, squats, sit ups and many more
  • Pad  and punch bugs exercise-improve your fighting technique, stamina, speed and movements
